That Old Chestnut rebrand

Journal · 12th June 2013

We’ve really enjoyed working with the fantastic Leeds-based bakery That Old Chestnut over the past few months on a full re-brand project.

The work included logo design, stationery, promotional print, limited edition posters and a fully responsive website (oh, and cake).

We should probably mention they’re a 100% vegan bakery… but this in no way prevents their cakes from tasting 100% amazing.

They want to be seen as a great bakery first (who just happen to be vegan) and their cakes are certainly good enough to be enjoyed by all.  If you didn’t know they were free from animal products, you’d be none the wiser by the taste alone (a fact to which many visitors to their numerous local stockists would attest), and this approach has led to a rapidly growing local reputation.

A big part of the project was to create a new website for That Old Chestnut, translating their natural and down to earth brand into a full responsive site that works across all devices.

As part of their branding we created a set of three limited edition letterpress posters (shown below), beautifully printed by our friends at The Print Project in Bradford.

All the printed material is printed onto 100% recycled, unbleached stock from Paperback – the UK’s only paper mill producing only recycled papers.
