An ongoing series of album artwork for the latest project from the jazz bassist Jasper Høiby, of Phronesis fame.
The bold letterpress-printed artwork uses a limited palette of shapes to represent the elements of earth.
Earthness
Earthness (2023) Featurs Jasper Høiby alongside Noah Stoneman on piano and Luca Caruso on drums, with the album artwork representing fire & smoke.
Like Water
Then, with the change of colour and composition, water is represented in the second in the series. Like Water (2024) features the pianist Chaerin Im on piano and Jamie Peet on drums, alongside Høiby on bass.
The album artwork was created entirely from a series of hand-printed letterpress prints by Oli Bentley on the People Powered Press. We’re looking forward to releasing more soon…
