Split wins a D&AD Wood Pencil

It was a very nice surprise last month to hear that These Northern Types had been shortlisted for two categories – Typography and Book Design – at this year’s D&AD Awards.

And then it was a very, very nice surprise, at the end of our visit to Clerkenwell Design Week, to find that we’d won a Wood Pencil award – For Creative Excellence, Typography/Books – which we picked up at the ceremony on Thursday 23 May.

There’s a big team of creative people who contributed to These Northern Types, and it was a real honour to collect this award on behalf of them all.
