Split are very proactive in suggesting workable, creative ideas that offer a way forward, particularly with difficult (and sometimes nonsensical) briefs. They work with a wide network of developers, printers and other wizards to make sure that the final project isn’t just designed right, but that it’s fit for purpose and a joy to use, read, pick up and look at. (People like to touch our prospectus as much as they like to read it!).
They put loads of effort into researching the best way to convey the message in a way that aligns with our needs and our brand, and get as involved in the project as we need them to be.

Split’s attention to detail, thoroughness of approach and depth and breadth of research is astonishing. Their ability to decipher complicated briefs and deliver on time, under budget and with a huge smile make them a joy to work with and it is always, very much that, they work WITH us not for us.
Making theatre is an entirely collaborative process and building a team who can all contribute excellence at each stage of the production is the key to making work which is deemed ‘successful’. Each member of the team has to feel they are trusted; to contribute work of the highest quality and to share their skills with generosity; to be part of something which is no longer just their own. The guys at Split have become essential members of the Red Ladder team – they bring a precision, rigour and attention to detail which tells the world that Red Ladder shows are exceptional – before the shows have even been made!

Split contribute more than just very good design in terms of ideas. The brand they have developed for us has been inventive, clever and creative. All their work has been timely and to budget.
In the 7+ years we've worked together, Split have continued to be careful, courteous, thorough and inventive.

Split obviously love the Leeds creative community – projects like Creative Family Tree and Save Red Ladder are testament to those nurturing qualities and show how much they care about the arts and good design.

Working with the Split team was a breath of fresh air from start to finish. As a brand new company, Music Vine was in need of a stylish, versatile logo that packed a punch. Split listened carefully to our brief, invited us in for some hearty discussions about the project and put us in the amazing position of having three very strong and varied conceptual designs to choose between.
The process was exciting and dynamic, but most of all, it's great to work with a team who have such a flare for approaching things both creatively and practically. We now have a logo that turns heads – and a design agency we know we can trust wholeheartedly when it comes to taking our visuals to the next level.
Lewis Foster,
Music Vine
Split whole heartedly and respectfully took our ethics, ethos and style into consideration.
The whole process was a very exciting one and felt like we were still in control of the re-brand and website design throughout. We were so thrilled with the outcome, the attention to detail really couldn't be faulted and we've received so much positive feedback about the quality of their work.
Even several years on these guys are still there to help us with any problems that may arise or any queries we may have and these are always sorted out in a timely manner.

Yorkshire Dance has worked with Split to create a website for one of our own projects, and as a member of a consortium of dance organisations in the Leeds area – and both times we have been thoroughly impressed. It’s been invaluable spending face-to-face time with them, discussing the briefs and exploring the possibilities before establishing clear parameters of what’s possible.
They’re friendly, clear and honest. They’re enthusiastic champions of the kind of work that we do, and as a result they really engage with the projects that we ask them to help with. They don’t spring unpleasant surprises on us at the last minute. They make things of beauty, which work. Yorkshire Dance has every intention of working with them again.

It doesn’t matter what the project is, the guys calmly listen to my confused ideas and constantly turn them into something brilliant. They are always on hand with fresh ideas and support.
